While the quiet suburban neighborhood has a security guard monitor all cars that enter, a recent robbery at gunpoint drove the residents to seek greater security measures. 92 percent of homeowners signed a petition to have a Miami, Florida fence contractor put a fence around the 400-home neighborhood, which is set to be completed in the coming months. But locals are up in arms that the city will adhere to a State law forbidding public streets from blocking pedestrians, and claim the unlocked gates will render the work of the Miami fence companies useless.
